Senior Mechanical Engineer – Stavanger

Function

Static Mechanical is responsible for static equipment in Company. We actively contribute to all phases of the life cycle of our operational fields. We ensure efficient operation of our facilities through close and good cooperation across disciplines and locations. 

This position will have its resource home in Static Mechanical department, while the task home will be in the Asset where the role is part of the Asset Engineering team. The main purpose of your role is to be the specialist for static mechanical equipment at Asset and to support and plan work to provide safe, in-control and efficient maintenance in addition to initiate engineering support work.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant authority and company requirements
  • Ensure safe and stable operation of static mechanical equipment, including specification for procurement, maintenance, testing and improvements
  • Contribute with technical expertise for projects and modifications
  • Risk assessments related to static mechanical equipment
  • Ensure quality of internal and external deliveries
  • Ensure field-specific specifications and technical documentation are kept up to date within discipline
  • Establish and drive change processes (PIMS)
  • Follow up assigned actions in Synergy
  • Responsible for Performance Standard for Asset (Barrier Management)
  • Participation and witnessing FATs when needed
  • Follow up and contribute to assigned actions in the Engineering Query and MoC process.
  • Contribute to the Static Mechanical Professional Network and contribute to best practice
  • Carry out offshore visits when needed

Requirements

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, operation, maintenance and modifications.
  • Good knowledge of national and international design codes and standards (NORSOK, ASME, API, EN)
  • Knowledge of Alvheim FPSO will be an advantage
  • Offshore installation experience
  • Experience working in multidiscipline teams and handling interfaces
  • Demonstrated flexibility to take on new challenges
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English proficiency
