Field Engineer – Newfoundland/Remote
Introduction
Dovre Canada Limited is seeking field engineers with preferred Mass Flow Excavation (MFE) / Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) experience relating to pre and post lay trenching, burial and backfilling to join our clients team.
Must be able to travel for both small and large assignments, domestically and internationally. Estimated travel time for this position is approximately 50-130 days per year.
Function
- Technical preparation for project execution
- Follow-up, communication, and reporting to customers (internal and external)
- Preparation and closeout of project, technical, quality, interface and risk documentation
- Operational planning
- Preparation and customization of equipment
- Integration of equipment with vessel systems
- Coordinating various aspects of projects to ensure smooth execution
- Participation in equipment design / development and testing
- Offshore project execution ensuring projects carried out according to contract
- Domestic & International Travel Required
Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Technical college/Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering fields
- Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education
- Strong technical understanding in one or more of the following areas: Mechatronics, hydraulics, automation, electrical, mechanical, remote operations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Offshore experience
- Technical drawing experience in Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD
- Strong written and spoken English skills
Personal Qualities:
- Good collaboration skills with ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent work ethic and multitasking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability, essentially due to occasional short deadlines
