Commissioning Engineer Process and Utilities – Stavanger

Function

As a team member of the Utsira High commissioning team contribute to deliver the project according to plan and cost and assist in ensuring the Project Team deliver in accordance with companys BMS and project mandate given by the Asset Management Team. The Commissioning Engineer Process and Utilities is responsible for the planning, execution and supervision of Completion and Commissioning activities for designated systems related to the delivery and integration.

Role, responsibilities and tasks:

  • Commissioning planning input, direction, guidance and supervision of commissioning activities
  • Provide input to the commissioning schedule
  • Establish commissioning procedures
  • Commissioning scoping in PIMS PES (WO’s)
  • Link scope of work to required commissioning check lists
  • Identify commissioning spares, temporaries, and first fill needs
  • Identify commissioning assistance from suppliers, contractors & operation
  • Participate in FAT/EFAT at contractors
  • Participate in relevant ITP activities
  • Participate in punch out and handover from Construction (RFCC)
  • Prepare and participate in livening up of systems
  • Prepare and participate in livening up of systems
  • Lead and perform commissioning activities (offshore)
  • Perform first fill of required systems
  • Participate in handover to Operation (RFOC)
  • Support project closeout

Requirements

  • BSc. Or MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within process and utilities
  • Experience from NORSOK projects.
  • System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
  • Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems.
  • Familiar with PIMS CMS and PIMS PES (recommended) Personal characteristics
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn from others and work with minimum direction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Actively seeks out expertise and best practice, related to own area of contribution.
  • Willingly takes the lead when challenges arise.
  • Actively promotes open and effective communication.
  • Strong planning and organizing ability.
  • Builds networks to enhance effectiveness and share knowledge.
  • Looks for ways to do things better, faster, more efficiently according to LEAN principles.

  • Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
