Advanced Project Completion Engineer – Oslo

Introduction

Location: Oslo 
Duration: 24/02/2025 – 30/04/2027

Function

  • Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
  • Provide engineering input
  • Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems/equipment, including input to plan.
  • Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
  • Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
  • Give input to systems equipment connected to and controlled by designated systems.
  • Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
  • Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
  • Coordinate and Interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
  • Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
  • Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
  • Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
  • Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
  • Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve Company’s expectations. 
  • Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
  • Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
  • Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation.
  • Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.
  • Participate in handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.

Requirements

Education

  • BSc. r MSc in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience. 

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Track record of engineering competency and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry and able to demonstrate effective project management skills
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of professionals
  • Familiarity with planning tools, work management systems and document management systems
  • Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience from project’s operations is of great benefit.
