FEED Manager – Trondheim
Introduction
Location: Trondheim or Oslo
Duration: December 2024 – 1 year
Function
- Ensure that all activities for which they are accountable, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the FEED Management Plan. Health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of.
- Lead and oversee the Front-End Engineering Design phase of projects, ensuring efficient and effective planning, coordination, and execution to meet project objectives and client requirements.
- Manage interdisciplinary teams, technical specifications, and project timelines to deliver high-quality engineering designs ready for detailed engineering and construction.
- Ensure that FEED governance system framework is established and implemented in the FEED, with particular focus on HSE, QA and Technical Integrity.
- Responsible for establishing Scope of Work for the FEED study
- Develop FEED Execution Plan, including budget, overall schedule and CTRs in alignment with PDE Leadership and stakeholders
- Establish role descriptions and establish an organization for the FEED
- Ensure that personnel are fully updated on their individual function and responsibilities.
- Establish initial contact with flag, class and verification societies.
- Ensure review and approval of engineering deliverables including process designs, equipment specifications, and technical reports is performed to required quality
- Lead and manage the multidisciplinary FEED team
- Liaise with PDE leadership on commercial elements of tender, namely each of the CAPEX and OPEX cost elements for the commercial proposal. Ensure that the strategic commercial elements for the tender are addressed in the FEED.
- Ensure set-up and implementation of IT toolbox for the FEED
- Establish a document control system for the FEED, including Client & Contractor documentation and specifically a system for tracking and addressing Client comments.
- Establish a FEED interface management system. Participate in Client design and interface reviews.
- Ensure sufficient control points are established in the FEED schedule including safety reviews, process reviews, layout reviews, constructability reviews
- Ensure that the FEED identifies and addresses non-conformances & deviations and client variations & amendments to contract.
- Ensure that all FEED activities are executed to finalize a technical and commercial package for progressing with EPC phase of project. Assist in preparing the final tender and a Decision Gate Support Package prior to submission of final tender.
- Ensure an adequate reporting system is put in place for the FEED, including elements of progress and spend.
- Ensure an efficient system is established for the for handover of the FEED deliverables.
- Develop project execution strategies and plans for the FEED phase. Develop CTRs for project phase with assistance from nominated Project Manager.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients during the FEED phase.
- Resolve disputes with Client. Act as the focal point within business development for resolution of deviations, disputes and adjustments to the FEED contract with the Client.
Requirements
- Technical education on bachelor level or higher within working area.
- Recent relevant experience
- Minimum 20 years’ experience within working area
- Experience in Carbon capture and storage field is an advantage.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplined project team.
- Organised, systematic and flexible.
- Ability to independently prioritize tasks
- Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplined project team.
- Proactive approach with both Client, Contractor and AIP teams and ability to provide solutions to problems and issues faced.
- An organized, systematic approach; self-starter / proactive; able to multi-task and still meet deadlines.
