Electrical Engineer High Voltage – Oslo

Function

  • Design and specify electrical systems solutions and strategies for projects in study, FEED and detail phases.
  • In this role you will collaborate closely with project and company representatives across disciplines.
  • Main electrification scope includes land cables, subsea cables, HV-equipment in onshore -and offshore substations, as well as power other offshore platforms and grid connection.
  • Responsible for the Main Power Supply Package Specification, detailing the technical and functional requirements for high & low voltage suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
  • Manage the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package from development to execution, including detailed engineering, fabrication, logistics, installation, contract management, and hand-over to operation
  • Develop and assist in design of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies, single line diagrams, load list, system description, PMS/PDCS systems and electrical system solutions
  • Follow up electrical system calculations, analyses and assessments

Requirements

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • FSE course
  • Ex course 

Required Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering from Norwegian continental shelf projects.
  • Solid understanding of electrical system analysis and transmission systems
  • Experience from Offshore electrification projects.
  • Proven track record in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects.
  • Experience and deep knowledge of electrical design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV and IEC
